The Dolphin and Whale Nature Rush tour is run by
White Island Tours, the leading tourism operator
in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.
White Island Tours was established in 1991 by
Peter and Jenny Tait who started the business as
a husband and wife team but now employ over
thirty full-time staff. Dolphin and Whale Nature
Rush provides a further marine tour option in
the Eastern Bay of Plenty, complementing the
traditional marine/active volcano tour out to
White Island.
White Island Tours also runs a 25-unit motel,
café and gift shop. The company is Qualmark
endorsed, Green Globe certified and a 2007 New
Zealand Tourism Award Winner
