DOLPHIN AND WHALE NATURE RUSH!
A two-hour ocean adventure
over the summer months (1 December to 31 March)
to find dolphins and
explore the bays of Whale Island (Moutohora) – a
dormant marine volcano and wildlife sanctuary 7
km off the Whakatane coast (Bay of Plenty, New
Zealand).
Whale Island is home to some of New Zealand’s
most endangered species including the iconic
kiwi, saddleback birds, blue penguins and the
native tuatara.
It’s a true nature rush with chances of dolphin
encounters high, and the added chance of seeing
whales, New Zealand fur seals and gannets. Our
Department of Conservation permit allows us to
spend time with any marine wildlife we may
encounter.
To cap it off, you get an exhilarating excursion
in our rigid inflatable “Sea Three”. With our
qualified skipper and experienced crew, you will
experience the best inshore sights of the bay!
